Good questions

EPOXY, ANSWERED

The things people ask us before every pour. If yours isn't here, just ask — we'd rather over-explain than have you guess.

What exactly is epoxy flooring?

+

Epoxy is a two-part resin system that cures into a solid, seamless surface bonded to the concrete or counter underneath. It isn't paint — it's a thick, continuous layer with no grout lines and nowhere for water to get in.

How long does an epoxy floor last?

+

A professionally installed system can stay attractive for 10–20 years depending on traffic, environment, preparation and maintenance. Prep quality is the single biggest factor.

Can you pour over my existing countertops?

+

Almost always. Epoxy goes directly over laminate, tile, cultured marble or old stone. There's no demo and no tear-out, so you keep your kitchen while we work.

How long before I can use the space again?

+

Most jobs take one to three days on site. Light foot traffic usually returns within about 24 hours of the final coat, with full chemical cure around the one-week mark.

Is epoxy slippery?

+

A gloss topcoat is smooth, but slip-resistant additives can be broadcast into the finish for bathrooms, garages, patios and other spill-prone areas. We'll recommend a texture based on the room.

How do I clean and maintain it?

+

Sweep or dust mop, then damp mop with a pH-neutral cleaner. No waxing, no grout scrubbing, no sealing. Wipe automotive fluids and harsh chemicals promptly rather than letting them sit.

Will it stain, chip or yellow?

+

The nonporous surface resists most common stains, oils and cleaners. For spaces with direct sunlight we use a UV-stable topcoat so the finish doesn't amber over time.

Can it go outside on a patio?

+

Yes, with the right system. Exterior pours use UV-stable, slip-resistant coatings built to handle Arkansas heat and freeze-thaw cycles.

What does it cost?

+

Pricing depends on square footage, the condition of the existing surface, and the decorative system you pick. We quote after seeing the space or clear photos of it — no guessing numbers over the phone.

Can I match a specific color or design?

+

That's the fun part. Solid colors, flake blends, quartz, metallic swirls, hand-drawn veining and even logos are all on the table. We build samples against your cabinets, floors and lighting before pouring.

Do you repair or recoat existing epoxy?

+

Often, yes. If the base coat is still bonded well, a refresh topcoat can bring back the gloss. Failing or peeling floors usually need to be ground off and redone properly.

What areas do you serve?

+

All of Northwest Arkansas and the surrounding communities — Fayetteville, Springdale, Rogers, Bentonville, Bella Vista and nearby.
